Biomaterials - cells, tissues and blood components

Key provides unique and high-value human-derived biomaterials (cells and blood components), derived from human blood, umbilical cord, and bone marrow.

Some of these biomaterials are collected per standard protocol then put into inventory but most of our work is done on-demand as custom collections in accordance with customer specification.

In addition to collecting a wide variety of cells and blood components from various tissue sources, we also work with a wide variety of donors including patient-donors, research subjects, and healthy donors.

Upon request and if allowed by the applicable protocol, subjects can be screened for and selected based on documented exposure to HIV, HBV, HTLV I-ll, HCV, CMV, and/or EBV. Subjects can also be recruited to meet a customer's unique requirements (age, race, gender, medical history, medication, HLA Class I and Class II typing, etc.). In addition, we offer qualification samples on potential subjects to allow the end-user to determine suitability for targeted materials.

Key serves as a CCMO (contract collection management organization) providing critical BioLogistics^sm support throughout all phases of clinical studies of autologous cell-based therapies.
